Courtney Reiff is the PK-2 Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Dorothy Height Charter School. In this role, she oversees the logistics, curriculum, instruction, and culture of her team. She also works closely with the principal and assistant principal to reinforce school wide culture and academic expectations, and to align her team to the overall vision and mission of Height. She manages and collaborates with Instructional Deans to effectively coach and lead her team.
Courtney graduated from Florida State University in 2013. She began her path in education working at an after-school program at Missions Women’s and Children’s Shelter in Atlanta, Georgia. She was then accepted to Teach for America and placed at Dorothy Height Charter School in 2016. Courtney taught first and second grade scholars for the last five years. She was promoted her third year at Height as the first and second grade Team Lead. From there she became the PK-2 Team Lead, PK-2 Instructional Dean, and now the PK-2 Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Courtney Reiff believes that students learn best through inquiry and curiosity! She is passionate about differentiated instruction so that all students can engage in lessons in a meaningful way. She promotes student lead instruction, purposeful student discourse, and exploratory learning on the PK-2 floor.
